For those to whom I've spoken (or Bruce has) about O'Flaherty Irish Music Retreat; here's the web-site:

http://www.irishtradmusic.org/retreat/

It's an amazing collection of Irish musicians of all levels with teachers from all over, collected in one gorgeous place with well-organized classes and utterly amazing concerts and then sessions every night.

It's an absolutely fabulous place to make contacts, to learn more about your instrument or your voice and to just hang out with a whole bunch of people who have one love in common; that of Irish folk music.

The dates are October 26-28. The location is at the lovely Hoblitzelle Camp and Conference Center in Midlothian, TX (just 30 minutes south of Dallas.) The facility is gorgeous; the food is pretty durned good for cafeteria food and staffed by the Salvation Army folk who're really nice and love having us there. There are concerts by staff during the meals; the perfect time to network and chat with friends with whom you're not in classes. I'd not be at all surprised if they sell out this year; they did last year. We've been, Bruce and I, every year that they've had it and couldn't recommend it more highly!

It's a blast!
