Ye gods...
Nov. 1st, 2007 05:04 pmI know beyond the shadow of a doubt that I am not constitutionally able to deal with phone customer service or a help desk.
I just spent the last 45 minutes on the phone first with "Andrea" from Mexico, I believe, trying to work out, 1) why I can't and 2) why I haven't gotten, 3) how to get a new phone that will be supported by TracFone. Once reassured that 1) yes, I have already requested one, 2) I can't wait and be without one for a week, 3) that I can put more minutes on this one afterall and 4) I have to be transfered to another (non-English native speaker) mindless robot, not to mention why Bruce was denied in adding more phone minutes while I was out on the road last weekend, nor why they won't support this phone now. Oh yes, and I waited on hold two separate times for 5 minutes and then 4 minutes in the middle of that somewhere.
So then I was transferred to "Shiela" who is undoubtedly in India somewhere and who was even more of a brainless robot because if I inadvertently shook her from her script, she had to go all the way back to the beginning. I spelled out my email address at least six times and had it spelled back to me the same number of times but apparently she couldn't retain that information on her screen. I also spelled out my address three times and had it spelled back to me, ditto my name, my husband's name and the credit card number. *AAAAAARRRRRRRRGGGGGGHHHH!*
*HEADDESK*
*puff puff*
But now it's done and I have 60 more units which will have to last me the week to ten days until the new phone arrives. And no, we can't use another service for other reasons, unless Bruce can get me a phone through his work about which I'm not holding my breath.
I may just have a drink tonight; I may just.
