Ok, friends, here we go. Yes, it's Wednesday and not Monday, but oh well.

I'm ready to start organizing the Collection of Hand-Made Goodies, Glittery Bits and Personal Services (NO, not that kind!) as a fund-raiser to help in the engine replacement for apocalypticbob's car.

This is what I need from anyone donating:
EMAILED to me, not posted on here, please. Email to: rowangolightly (at) gmail (dot) com with a title line something like, "items for fund-raising for AmberBob"
Please include:
1) a listing of the item or items
2) a brief but thorough description of the item
3) a picture or two of the item in pdf or gif format
4) the value of the item
(I will set the starting bid amount)

I'm looking for:
newly made or vintage jewelry,
wearable art
art works, i.e. painting, drawings
poetry,
sewn or crafted items
music CDs or DVDs
lessons, i.e. musical instrument, writing, cooking
housecleaning services,
tarot or other types of readings,
baked goods, i.e., cookies, breads, other food items
anything else (legal) that someone can think of to donate.

Any service items must be realistic; the winner cannot, for instance, be 4 hours away from the donor unless they can mutually think of a way to complete the transaction.

It is my expectation that when the bidding is all done, the donor will send the item to the winner. I am not a clearing house nor an independently wealthy person; the easiest way I can see to do this is for each artist/maker/donor to ship/deliver the donation to the winner. I will track this to make sure that all prizes have been received by all winners.

Ok, folks...this can be fun or is can be a PITA. Let's make it fun so that we can consider doing this again at some other time for another worthy recipient.

Let's start at home. Here is what I'm donating:
a FiddlyBag purse, in the winner's choice of color
a FiddlyBag faire purse, in the winner's choice of colors
an antique ivory lace jacket, size very small

This is just an example of items. Please, you may comment here as to the item you are planning on donating but DO NOT post all the other stuff here. I want to be able to present the whole set of donations at one time in a separate post.

I will post the rules and all that sort of thing once all the donation emails come in and are organized. If you wish to re-post this to your LJ or FB, please feel free but remember that my email address is a part of this and I don't wish it to be misused.
