...looking through the multitude of pictures we've received so far, working on the wedding post. Have a coupla new wedding icons, too. Many thanks to fairyoffire and 5rings!

But I've got work to do today and a short week. So please forgive me if I postpone the actual descriptive post until next week, ok? I want to make it nice with portions of the service and all, in the proper order. Plus I'm still receiving and sorting through images. Thanks.

But to tide anxious folk over until then, here's a few images.

cut 'cause I care! )

Yeah, that's brief and I left out a whole lot but there ya go for this week.

Now I hafta go make a whistle case, start on supper, shop and tend the garden.

Didya know that the top comes offa Guterman spools of thread, the side where you can lodge the thread so it won't unravel? Yeah, it does. It comes off and the damnedest thing occurred to me; it looks like the inserter for the old fashioned style of tampons except that it says, "Guterman 100m/vgs 110yds on the edge.

That discovery made me giggle my arse off just now...

As you were!

Considering how busy thing have been lately I've been keeping the kitchen phone up here in the sewing room. For some reason no extention phone we put upstairs ever works for more than a couple weeks.

So it just rang. I looked at the ID and it read, "Jeho Wit" and I thought, "Oh, this could be weird." This is what the nasely, drawly female-sih voice said when I picked up.

"Hello, this is Jeanetta. I'm calling to encourage bible reading."

I interrupted her and said, "I'm sorry, I don't take crank calls such as this, especially during dinner time. Take this number off your list."

*sigh* I'm probably cursed or something now. Hopefully a JehoWit won't come and take a dump on the front step or something.

Now, if she'd only just said that she was encouraging reading, I might've talked to her.

*giggle*

Late Breaking Bulletin:

Poor Nell-kitty has the hick-ups. Poor thing, I think it's scaring her.

Bruce is going through old humor sound files on his 'puter and it's about to drive me back upstairs.

Oh, and this is the pic of me that Frank Hui took at Scarby when it was so cold (day after it snowed) and I was wearing the lamb ears; taken while we were busking outside the Pepper Lady's booth.

I call....

DO-OVERS!

Can we please have a do-over on this whole week? One with less stress, please? Pretty please?

Lots to do today/this week but feeling up to it. This cinches it, not that there was any doubt.

Then once it starts rain, hopefully I'll go to work cleaning out the sewing room. Yep, not gonna make that 10 day guideline for the sewing room but ah well...things have to be flexible! Plus I need to get stuff ready for Norman Medievel Faire this weekend. Must finish the new bodice, breaking the curse of "once it's worn it never gets completed"! Gotta Dryel Bruce's doublet and kilt and need to clean boots and shoes.

Everybody's coming down to the Faire, right? Next to the last chance to see Queen's Gambit in this current incarnation!

{ED. Started raining sooner than I'd hoped. I only got a little more cultivated to what dear Br.William had hand-tilled. Yep, the tiller is a goner; we have a perfectly good engine but not a working tiller body so it's hand-tilling or nothing at this point to get the garden in. I wanted to get into shape!

But an hour's work on the garden is a good bit of work. Breakfast and flower pressing and then we'll see what the dogs let me get done before they start wrecking the house. *sigh* I love our animals. But hey, I think I stopped Bobbie from getting into the fireplace, pissing in there and then tracking ash all over the house. Yes, I LOVE the animals (repeating that so I don't kill them!)

Oh, and a perfect icon that I nabbed from [livejournal.com profile] apocalypticbob which I don't even think she's used yet. Sorry? But once Bruce guffawed at it, I couldn't help but steal it...it's too perfect.

Who, me?

One more thing. Go read this. Then do something about it.

"My name is Connor Cochran. I work with Peter S. Beagle, the man who wrote THE LAST UNICORN, A FINE AND PRIVATE PLACE, the "Sarek" episode of STAR TREK: THE NEXT GENERATION, and the screenplay to the original animated LORD OF THE RINGS (not to mention a whole lot of other classic genre works). Right now Peter needs help -- BIG help. Which is why I'm sounding as loud a rallying cry as I can. You will find all the details up on the web at http://www.conlanpress.com/youcanhelp."

Why do people think they can get away with stuff like this?

...to the family.

We now have a salamander in the aquarium. Bruce found the poor little fella damnear dead of the cold outside our back door a couple days ago. So he picked him up and put him in the tank and then put a stick in for the guy to climb on to be out of the water. He was solid muddy brown at first and pretty skinny but now has kinda a speckled-mottled rock-like coloring to his skin.

Anybody have any idea what this fella might like to eat? I've put fish food in there but somehow I don't think that's quite his cup of tea. And Wikipedia is not at all helpful in this subject.
