One story...

...from this weekend, before I make the actual WEDDING WEEKEND post.
On Sunday, we shared the stage with Whirly Jig as Tullamore was at the Irish Festival. It was SUCH a treat getting to flip back and forth with them, since we each got to listen to one anothers' shows and sometimes participate a bit. More on that later...
But this story occurred in the afternoon as Whirly Jig was leaving the stage and QG was taking it. An adorable little red-headed girl, about 7 or 8, was sitting on the second row with her family. Just as
margotdevallier turned to leave, this child piped up, "I loved your songs!" and I wasn't sure she'd heard so I grabbed her sleeve to turn her back around. The child repeated it and Margot beamed and thanked her back. She and I looked at each other, smiling and a bit teary-eyed. I said, "THAT'S why we do this!" She nodded and we further cemented that she and I simply love one another, before she turned to go.
Yeah, THAT's why we do this...

Another really beautiful thing happened while I was waiting in line to enter the Reception pavillion....
-Rewind-
2 years ago WJ did the whole run of FLARF. There was an absolutley beautiful tee-ninesy little gnome-girl that came to a few of our shows with her folks and I gave her a feather out of my hat each time i saw her.
-Fast Forward-
I borrowed a glow stick from a girl to help locate a pendant that had fallen off Merlot's necklace, we didn't find it. I returned the glow stick to the little girl's dad who was talking to Steve. Turns out that the little girl was the 4 year old version of the little gnome girl and her dad thanked me again for the feathers and we snapped a photo and said "my isn't it a small world"
it gets smaller and more cozy all the time :D
